Liam told Zena to get on his back as he lay near her feet. He didn’t want her to walk much because of her bad leg.

Eagerly, Zena crawled onto Liam’s back. She gripped her legs onto Liam’s back but made sure she didn’t grip too tight. Liam stood up and carefully walked out of the cabin. When he was outside of the door, Liam turned his head to grab something with his mouth. What he picked was a pair of wooden crutches that looked well-made and had cushions for the underarms.

Liam leisurely sprinted, as he went off. He didn’t run that fast to be sure that Zena could hold on to him and not fall off. Zena gripped on to Liam’s fur with both hands as she took a good look at the beautiful wonders of the Redwood forest. Liam skipped onto a tall cliff so Zena could have a good look around. It felt like she was in a mystic world. In her home state, there are lots of trees, and the forests were a beautiful sight to see, but with the Redwood forest, it was like seeing the woods for the very first time. How could she not have noticed it when she first came to this place?

Her mouth dropped as she enjoyed the beauty of nature. Zena scrambled into her bag to get out her camera to take pictures. She crawled off of Liam, taking many photos. After she put her camera away, she pulled out her cell to take pictures of herself and the nature around her. Liam photobombed some of her photographs.

When their little fun and sightseeing were completed, Liam took Zena to the beach, which was perfect weather in early March to visit. Liam turned back human and put his clothes on. He threw Zena on his back and piggybacked her along the beach. As Zena rested her head on his big shoulders, they looked like the perfect couple romantically taking a stroll.

“Are you ready to start a new life and have a new place to stay?” Liam asked as he had a carefree look on his face.

“I’m excited and can’t wait to learn so much stuff,” Zena replied as she hugged Liam affectionately. “What I still can’t believe is that I’m going to be dating a vampire and a werewolf. It’s kinda, well….”

Liam laughed. “Well, you’re going to be experiencing a lot of new things that you could never have even dreamed of. So, get used to it lov’.”

“It’s going to take a while for me to get used to things,” Zena chuckled.

“I know you might not like it, but Yuri thinks that you should get in contact with your family. I know that you don’t want to speak to them again and erase them from your life. But,” Liam lowered his head. “They are your family. They should know that you are ok and safe. You can do it whenever you feel like it’s ready.”

Zena went silent as she gripped on to Liam's shirt in anguish from thinking about reconnecting with her family.

Liam sighed as he continued. “You don’t have to do it. We are not going to make you. If you don’t want to, he will respect that. Also, if you don’t feel comfortable telling people that you are in a serious relationship with two men and moving in with them not long after meeting them, we’ve already set up an alibi for you. You can tell people that you're working with us as our assistant. I never told you, but I’m a bodyguard and a bounty hunter. I have offices in different places where I take my work. When you get more training, I might even let you come with me on some cases,” He looked at Zena from the corner of his eyes, as he gave her a toothy smile.

“That sounds like an actual good idea,” Zena replied. “I would hate to get into a fight with strangers when they react to our situation. I hate people judging my life choices. At least having an alibi would make people less judgmental until the time is right actually to announce it. Though I won’t completely hide or deny anything. I’m too young to have high blood pressure over certain things. I don’t want to keep our relationship a secret.…Oh, and by the way, I’m thinking about reactivating my old social media accounts.”

“That is awesome,” Liam looked like he was mentally wagging his tail “I can see who your so-called friends are and how your life used to be before we met you. Maybe I’ll find some embarrassing pictures.” He paused for a second as he looked ahead of him. “You also don’t need to worry abou’ hiding the fact that Yuri and I are a vampire and werewolf. Luckily, with today’s tech, it’s easy just to say stuff is Photoshop or it’s cosplay. There is also an internet spell to alter anything inhuman. You see it when you look at your social media account. Whenever you post things dealing with the supernatural world, it won’t be seen by human eyes unless it’s granted to them. Kinda like a privacy setting.”

Zena's eyes went wide “That’s amazing! I never really thought there was internet magic! Is there also a network?”

“Yep, there is a network and private servers. Your phone is already connected to it. Welcome to the black web,” Liam joked at the last part.

Liam and Zena began to chat about all kinds of things as they continue to stroll down the beach. Liam got out his cellphone so that he could take a cute photo of both of them. He shared the photo on his media account, bragging about his new number one. Zena reactivated her old social media account and deleted her secondary accounts and added Que on her main account. She set up her settings so that when she posted anything, her family, or anyone she didn’t want to know that she was still alive, couldn’t see any future active posts.

  Zena posted on her account:

I’m alive people; I am not dead. I just had to leave the internet to get away from everything for a while. I have been traveling on the road. I saw many amazing things and met some awesome people. I also have exciting news. I was offered a sweet ass job being a personal assistant for two amazing men, and they are super-hot! I’m just so excited about my new life. I get to live in an awesome house and get to travel around while working!

Zena added some emojis and some pictures she had taken. She added a separate post to share photos of her and Liam, writing in the description, ‘This is the new special man in my life. He is also my cool new boss. We are hanging out at the beach right now.’ Zena tagged Liam’s name on her posts.

Instantly, Zena’s social media started to blow up with likes and comments. People noticed she was banged up and asked what had happened. Zena had to explain that she had an accident because she wasn’t paying attention to what she was doing. She told everyone she was fine and that it was nothing serious.

The brand-new couple went to a restaurant on a boardwalk to have breakfast. Liam ordered a lot of food to eat for himself. Zena was surprised at how much he could eat. After breakfast, they walked around the boardwalk, as they went in and out of different shops. The couple rented some beach equipment and enjoyed their day at the beach. They were all over each other as they couldn’t stop kissing each other. It was like they were newlyweds.

“Well, don’t you two look cute,” Que said teasingly, as she strolled up to Liam and Zena. She was wearing a bikini and had a scarf wrapped around her waist. She pulled down her fancy glasses to get a good look at them. “I’m so glad you are safe and awake.” Que kissed Zena on the lips. She didn’t care if she was with Liam and Yuri.

“Que, hey,” Zena looked surprised as she hugged Que. “How did you find us?”

Que curved her lips friskily. “Well, since the cat is finally out of the bag.” She pointed at herself. “I went to those two losers’ house to yell at them when I got off the phone with you. I originally went there to warn them about something, and sadly, you ended up in the wrong place at the wrong time. I was also on the rescue mission to save you. I ended up having to do the fucking clean up.”

“So…you’re not a human,” Zena asked. “Are you a vampire or a werewolf? Que was happy to tell Zena everything, “I’m neither. I’m an angel.”

“Back to what you said earlier, warn them? About what?”

Liam wrapped his arm around Zena. “I promise we’ll tell you why the stuff happened to you and how you ended up in the chaos, but for now, you need to heal and just try to get settled into your new life.”

Zena nodded her head. “Waiting does sound good. I think my head will explode if I keep getting the play by play
of all this info. There is so much stuff to remember.”

Que and Liam began snicker from Zena’s comment. All three of them had a typical, normal fun day at the beach. When evening came around, they packed their stuff to get ready to go out for dinner. While they were packing, Liam suddenly got tackled on to the ground by a random man. Both men wrestled playfully on the ground. Zena looked like she was about to freak out when she peered at Que, who didn’t seem concerned by the two men wrestling on the ground. Her lips just curved into a smile as she put one hand on her hip. Soon, the men started to make playful grunting sounds, the typical way when two guys playfully fight.

Liam pinned the man who pounced on him to the ground, making his face sink in the sand. He grabbed his arm and made it go unnaturally behind his back. Liam had an evil, playful smirk on his face, as he was prideful in his win. He knew that he was the stronger man. That stroked his male ego and testosterone. The other man didn’t want to go down as he began to struggle.

“Submit!” Liam demanded in a deep voice with the biggest grin on his face. “It’s only going to get worse. If you don’t want another ass beating and a dislocated shoulder, then you better submit now.”

The man viewed back at Liam. His grin matching Liam’s grin. “Fuck you!” The male had a strong accent that matched Liam’s accent. He was a black man who appeared around Liam’s 29-year-old appearance. He had long grey dreadlocks that reach down to his upper back with light hazel colored eyes. On the left side of his cheek was a scar mark, while on his right arm was the same Celtic tattoo that looked just like Liam’s tattoo. The man also had other types of tattoos on his left arm and his neck. His build was almost like Liam’s build, but he was a bit smaller muscle wise.

Liam almost forgot that the ladies were there watching them and looked up. He looked a little embarrassed because Zena didn’t know what was going on. He looked like a puppy who did something bad as he stared at Zena’s confused face as he got off the black Irish-Scottish man.

“Sorry abou’ that.” Liam scratched the back of his head. “I hope you weren’t startled much lov’. This man is meh brother. We may not be blood brothers, but we have been brothers since we were born. This is Angus, and he is meh beta. Meh right-hand man and partner in crime,” Liam's spoke with pride as he mentioned Angus.

Angus stood to his feet, as he shifted his shoulder around. His lips curved, as he looked Zena up and down. “So, this is your new number one. I thought it was all a joke but no, here she is. You have yourself an African queen. Another black woman has been taken by the white devil.” Angus snorted from his joke. “Nah, I’m just kidding. It’s nice to meet you, Zena.”

“It’s nice to meet you as well.” Zena had a confused tone in her voice. She could already tell that Angus was an unapologetic black man who would speak his mind. What had her surprised was his strong accent. “I have seen it all, an Irish-Scottish African American. I bet people would flip out when they meet you.”

Angus snorted from what Zena said. “To some folks, I’m not American legally, the fucking bastards. I was born at my sweet motherland on an island between Scotland and Ireland, just like Liam. My human cover story, unlike Liam, is that I didn’t grow up in this crap hole racist so-called land of the equal and free U.S.A. I moved to Canada and then decided to move to America to be closer to family. I wouldn’t be in this crap country if it weren’t for meh brother Liam. How anyone of color handles living here amazes me.”

Zena shrugged. “I guess, but we try to make it better for everyone and keep fighting for human rights. Hell, if I had a choice, I would leave this country to experience what it’s like somewhere else. Yeah, America has become an embarrassing country, but it’s still my country. I’m still a proud American and hope that someday all the fucked-up shit about this country will get fixed. We will someday live how we want to live without others, good intentions or not, telling us how they think we should live our lives.”

“So, where are you from, Zena?”

  “Texas.”

Angus' face went animated. “Holy shit Liam, you got yourself a country gal’.” Angus started to mock a Texas accent. “I bet you like going hunting and riding horses around everywhere. And being in the Bible belt, there must be churches on every corner. I bet the old white folks sit on their patios on a hot day drinking iced tea, saying how they hate those niggers down the street.”

Zena flinched at the word nigger. She hated that word with a passion. It twisted her stomach when she heard it from anyone. “Well, whatever stereotype you think of Texas is almost accurate, but most of it is not what people see on TV. Yeah, there are churches everywhere. We don’t ride our horses around everywhere…. We do ride horses, but you will not see them down a concrete road…. uh…. well, barely at least. It’s not as racist as you think and in cities and some small towns, it’s diverse and open-minded. There are still people who are total shit bags and racists, but that doesn’t make up the whole state. Yes, people in Texas love their guns. I have never been hunting, but I would like to.” Zena put her hands on her hips as she pointed her finger at Angus. “And to let you know, I grew up in a city. I did live near the country. So technically you can say I’m a country girl. I call myself a city-country woman. And fair warning, you don’t want to get on my bad side because I’ll show you not to fuck with a gal from Texas. I don’t put up with shit. You will know the meaning of don’t mess with Texas.”

Angus began to cackle so hard that he had tears coming out of his eyes. He had to hold on to his stomach to stop it from cramping. Liam's face went blank before he started to laugh along with Angus. He liked the fire and sass in Zena.

Que grinned. “Damn girl, why did the universe make you a human?! You clearly should be an alpha. I bet you could put those fucking muscle head idiots in their place. Those mutts need to be house trained.”

Angus looked at Que with a playful grin. “Still with the insults, Que? Just because you’re an angel doesn’t mean you’re better than us.”

Que flipped her hair. “I don’t think I’m better than anyone, but I know a bunch of idiots when I see them. You smelly dogs are too loud, rude, and have no manners whatsoever. I can’t believe Liam thinks that is ok. Although he’s just a dog like them so I guess I can’t blame him.” She had a playful look on her face. It was clear she was being mean just for friendly trash talk.

  “You're so mean,” Liam chuckled.

“Hey, I say it like it is.” Que grabbed on Zena's waist and snuggled up to her. “And just because you and Zena are now a thing Liam, doesn’t mean I’m going to stop what I started with her. She is still mine, mine, mine, mine!!!”

Angus seemed like he wanted to drool as he saw the women’s bodies get close together. He commented that Liam could live out a man’s dream of watching hot girls going at it and possibly be able to be in the middle of it.

Zena and Que glared at Angus with dirty and pissed off facial expressions. “Fucking pig,” both women said at the same time.

“See, this is what’s wrong with fucking men,” Que said in an angry tone pointing angrily at Angus. “They always look at women as sex objects and think that lesbians are hot entertainment for them to jack off to.”

“Well, you can’t blame them,” Zena added, as she glared at Liam, hoping he didn’t feel the same way as Angus. “They don’t know how to control what’s between their legs, so they don’t think in their heads. Thus, women have to fight not to be objectified.”

Liam looked at Zena with a face screaming he was innocent and had no thoughts about what Angus said. “Hey, don’t lump meh in with him. I have respect for women, and they can do anything just as good as us men. I wasn’t even thinking about having kinky sex like that.” Liam scooted up to Zena and held his hand close to her ear to whisper something to her. “But, I do want to do so much kinky stuff with you and Yuri.”

Zena blushed red as her eyes went bugged eyed. She pulled back from Liam, trying to act calm. After some playful banter, Que told everyone s
he had to meet with a client, but she would catch up with them for dinner. Angus decided to leave the two love birds alone as he went to do his own thing.

“Hey, let’s video call Yuri real quick,” Liam suggested. “I’m pretty sure he misses you, and you miss him. He is probably dying to hear your voice. "He said in a teasing tone.

Zena had a slight smile as she blushed. She did miss Yuri. She was hoping to have some time with him and talk about her new living arrangements with him and Liam.

Liam pulled out his phone as he pulled Zena closer to him. When Yuri answered, Liam and Zena, made goofy faces and sounds. Yuri didn’t find it funny. He viewed his lovers with his usually stern expression.

“What’s with that face?” Liam teased.

Yuri rolled his eyes at Liam. “I’m glad to see that you’re awake and having fun, moya lyubov'.”

Zena sweetly smiled at Yuri. “When are you going to be back?”

“We will see each other at one of our homes in Colorado,” Yuri replied.

  “One of our homes?”

Yuri smirked, as he nodded his head. “I guess Liam didn’t tell you yet. I own many homes and vacation homes. Colorado will be the main house we will live in for now. As we speak, I’m planning to have your room ready. You can have it however you like.”

“Ooooh, I always wanted to visit Colorado! I want to try the weed candy there.”

Liam's eyes lit up as he got hyper and animated. “Ooooh! Let's get so fucking high! I would lov’ to see how you would act when you get high.”

“That sounds fun!” Zena fed off Liam’s energy.

Yuri laughed silently, as he watched the two talk about their plans. “On an important matter. When you have healed enough, we will start your training and studies.”

“Studies?” Liam and Zena said at the same time, as they tilted their heads. There was no denying that they were a perfect match for each other.

“Yes, studies moya printsessa,” Yuri replied. “You have to learn about both my and Liam’s heritage and language. I must warn you, Liam knows serval languages because of his Celtic culture. Luckily, he sticks to one of the languages. You also need to learn the basics of magic. I know you might not like it, but you must learn the proper way to be an elegant lady for important gatherings. There is so much for you to do and learn. Along with physical training, combat, and weapons training. Not to mention training your mind to open and awaken what is inside of you.”
